Live Music:
John Calvert
- Earthy and melodic best describes the fresh sound of accomplished fingerstyle guitarist, John Calvert. Harnessing aural textures from folk, new age, and bluegrass music, John's genuine and unpretentious compositions follow in the great legacy of world-renown artists such as Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges.
- Calvert attributes much of his success to his perennial experience at Berklee College of Music. At the young age of sixteen, John's entertaining musical style attracted the attention of Berklee alumnus, Tim Hayden. Hayden was quick to recognize the career potential in John's unique abilities and strongly recommended that he pursue admittance to Berklee's distinguished music program. It was then that John realized the beginnings of his life's dream -- to tour the world and share his musical gifts with others.
- John Calvert's rich formal experience artfully blends into a fresh, inspiring, original sound. His style can be categorized as new age, American primitive, or simply fingerstyle guitar. John's down to earth attitude, combined with outstanding musical technique, consistently delights his audiences. Whether performing in a small, intimate setting, or a large capacity venue, John Calvert is guaranteed to deliver a most memorable concert performance.
